At No Yard Sale, we respect the intellectual property rights of creators, businesses, and users.
This Copyright & Intellectual Property Policy explains how intellectual property is protected on the No Yard Sale Platform and outlines the responsibilities of users who create, upload, advertise, or otherwise share content through the Platform.
This Policy applies to:
- Marketplace Listings
- Donation Listings
- Service Listings
- Business Advertisements
- Promoted Listings
- User Profiles
- Messages
- Reviews
- Photographs
- Videos
- Logos
- Artwork
- Product descriptions
- User-generated content
- Other content submitted through the Platform
This Policy should be read together with our:

- respecting the rights of creators;

- responding to valid intellectual property complaints;
- reducing counterfeit and infringing content;
- maintaining a trustworthy marketplace.
We expect every user to respect the intellectual property rights of others.
Intellectual Property Owned by Prop Up Media LLC
Unless otherwise indicated, the No Yard Sale Platform and its original content are owned by or licensed to Prop Up Media LLC.
This includes, but is not limited to:
- the No Yard Sale name;
- the No Yard Sale logo;
- Norman the No Yard Sale Gnome;
- Norman's Trust Score;
- artwork;
- illustrations;
- graphics;
- animations;
- icons;
- user interface designs;
- layouts;
- website design;
- mobile application design;
- software;
- source code;
- object code;
- databases;
- documentation;
- Help Center content;
- Norman's Tips;
- written content created by Prop Up Media LLC;
- marketing materials;
- slogans;
- branding;
- trade dress;
- trademarks;
- service marks;
- proprietary business methods.
These materials are protected by applicable copyright, trademark, trade secret, and other intellectual property laws.
Nothing contained on the Platform transfers ownership of Company intellectual property to any user.
Norman the No Yard Sale Gnome
Norman is the official mascot of No Yard Sale.
The name, likeness, illustrations, personality, slogans, artwork, and related branding associated with Norman are proprietary intellectual property of Prop Up Media LLC unless otherwise indicated.
Norman may not be reproduced, copied, modified, distributed, sold, licensed, or used in a manner that suggests affiliation with No Yard Sale without prior written permission from Prop Up Media LLC.
User Content
Users retain ownership of the original content they create and upload.
Examples include:
- photographs;
- Listing descriptions;
- reviews;
- messages;
- advertisements;
- logos;
- business information;
- profile photographs;
- videos;
- original artwork.
By submitting content to the Platform, you represent and warrant that:
- you own the content or have the legal right to use it;
- your content does not infringe another person's intellectual property rights;
- your content complies with applicable law and Platform policies.
As described in the Terms & Conditions, users grant Prop Up Media LLC a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, display, reproduce, distribute, resize, adapt, and otherwise use submitted content for purposes reasonably necessary to operate, improve, secure, and promote the Platform.
Copyright Infringement
Users may not upload, advertise, sell, distribute, or otherwise make available content that infringes another person's copyright.
Examples include:
- copied product photographs without permission;
- copyrighted artwork;
- pirated software;
- unauthorized music;
- copyrighted videos;
- copied website content;
- books distributed without authorization;
- digital downloads without transfer rights.
Users are responsible for ensuring they possess the necessary rights before uploading content.
Trademark Infringement
Users may not use another company's trademarks in a manner that is misleading or likely to cause confusion.
Examples include:
- counterfeit branded products;
- unauthorized logos;
- fake brand packaging;
- misleading brand references;
- advertisements falsely suggesting endorsement.
Selling authentic branded goods is generally permitted where lawful, provided the Listing accurately represents the product and does not mislead buyers.
Counterfeit Goods
Counterfeit goods are prohibited.
Examples include:
- fake designer products;
- counterfeit electronics;
- unauthorized reproductions;
- imitation luxury goods;
- fake authentication certificates.
Listings involving counterfeit products may be removed immediately.
Business Advertising
Business advertisers are responsible for ensuring that all advertising materials, including:
- logos;
- photographs;
- graphics;
- videos;
- trademarks;
- slogans;
- promotional copy;
- hyperlinks;
may be lawfully used.
Submitting an advertisement grants Prop Up Media LLC a limited license to display that advertisement in connection with the approved advertising campaign.
Ownership remains with the advertiser or the applicable rights holder.
Reporting Intellectual Property Concerns
If you believe content on No Yard Sale infringes your intellectual property rights, you may submit a written report.
Please include, where applicable:
- your name;
- your contact information;
- identification of the copyrighted work or trademark;
- identification of the allegedly infringing material;
- the location of the material on the Platform;
- a description of your concern;
- documentation showing your ownership or authority to act on behalf of the rights holder;
- a statement that you believe, in good faith, that the use is unauthorized.
Providing complete information helps us investigate your request more efficiently.
Review Process
When reviewing an intellectual property complaint, Prop Up Media LLC may:
- review the reported content;
- request additional documentation;
- temporarily remove the content;
- disable access to the content;
- contact the reporting party;
- contact the user who submitted the content;
- request proof of ownership;
- take additional action reasonably necessary to investigate the matter.
Not every report will result in removal.
Each matter is reviewed individually using the information reasonably available.
Repeat Infringers
Users who repeatedly violate intellectual property rights may be subject to:
- Listing removal;
- advertisement removal;
- Business Account restrictions;
- Marketplace restrictions;
- Norman's Trust Score impacts where appropriate;
- badge removal where appropriate;
- Account suspension;
- permanent Account termination.
Repeated violations may also result in additional legal action where appropriate.
False Reports
Knowingly submitting false, misleading, or malicious intellectual property complaints may violate the Community Guidelines and Terms & Conditions.
Users should report concerns honestly and in good faith.

Whether you're uploading photographs, creating advertisements, designing logos, writing descriptions, or building a business, we encourage everyone to respect the creativity and hard work of others.
Protecting intellectual property helps create a stronger marketplace for everyone.
Changes to This Policy
Prop Up Media LLC may update this Policy from time to time to reflect changes in:
- intellectual property law;
- Platform features;
- business operations;
- copyright procedures;
- trademark practices;
- marketplace needs.
Material changes will become effective on the Effective Date identified within the updated Policy.
