No Yard Sale Business Advertising Policy
Effective Date: August 8, 2026
Helping Local Businesses Connect with Local Communities
No Yard Sale is more than a marketplace for buying and selling.
It's also a place where local businesses can connect with people who need products and services that naturally complement the marketplace experience.
Whether someone is moving, cleaning out a storage unit, furnishing a new home, donating unwanted items, or preparing for a local sale, trusted local businesses can provide valuable services along the way.
This Business Advertising Policy explains how businesses may advertise through No Yard Sale and the standards that apply to all advertisements, campaigns, and Business Accounts.
This Policy forms part of the No Yard Sale Terms & Conditions and should be read together with our:
- Community Guidelines
- Prohibited Items & Services Policy
- Privacy Policy
- Payment & Wallet Policy
- and other Platform policies.
A Welcome from Norman
Hi there!
Good advertising should help people—not interrupt them.
The best businesses solve real problems.
Whether you're helping someone move, clean out a garage, rent a storage unit, or haul away unwanted furniture, we want your advertisements to feel like useful recommendations—not distractions.
Let's build something that helps everyone.
1. Purpose
The Business Advertising Program allows approved businesses to promote lawful products and services that are relevant to the No Yard Sale community.
Examples may include:
- storage facilities;
- moving companies;
- junk removal;
- cleaning services;
- estate sale services;
- donation organizations;
- home improvement;
- home maintenance;
- landscaping;
- automotive services;
- local retailers;
- community organizations;
- other businesses approved by No Yard Sale.
Our goal is to create advertisements that are useful, informative, and respectful of the user experience.
2. Business Accounts
Businesses advertise through designated Business or Marketer Accounts.
Business Accounts differ from Individual Marketplace Accounts.
Business Accounts are intended for advertising and promotional purposes and may provide access to features such as:
- campaign management;
- advertisement creation;
- image uploads;
- hyperlink management;
- campaign analytics;
- billing;
- advertisement scheduling;
- future advertising features.
Business Accounts generally do not receive a public marketplace profile.
Users may be required to create a separate Individual Marketplace Account to access marketplace buying and selling features.
Business Accounts may not be used to circumvent Marketplace policies or restrictions.
3. Eligibility
To participate in the Business Advertising Program, advertisers may be required to:
- provide accurate business information;
- comply with applicable laws;
- maintain an Account in good standing;
- comply with Platform policies;
- complete identity or business verification where required;
- maintain a valid payment method.
Participation in the Business Advertising Program is subject to approval by Prop Up Media LLC.
Approval may be granted, denied, suspended, or revoked at our reasonable discretion to protect users and maintain marketplace integrity.
4. Advertisements
Advertisements should provide accurate, truthful, and useful information.
Advertisements should clearly represent:
- the advertiser;
- the product or service being promoted;
- pricing where advertised;
- applicable limitations or conditions;
- contact information where appropriate.
Advertisements may not:
- mislead users;
- contain deceptive claims;
- impersonate another business;
- encourage unlawful activity;
- violate intellectual property rights;
- violate any Platform policy.
All advertisements remain subject to review by Prop Up Media LLC.
5. Advertisement Images
Advertisers are responsible for ensuring that images used in advertisements:
- accurately represent the advertised business;
- are owned by the advertiser or used with appropriate permission;
- do not infringe intellectual property rights;
- are professional in appearance;
- comply with Community Guidelines;
- comply with this Policy.
Images may not contain:
- misleading information;
- prohibited products;
- offensive material;
- excessive violence;
- explicit sexual content;
- hate symbols;
- discriminatory content;
- malware or deceptive QR codes.
Prop Up Media LLC may remove or request replacement of images that do not meet Platform standards.
Norman's Tip
The best advertisements don't try to trick people into clicking.
They help people find exactly what they're looking for.
That's good for your business—and good for the community.
6. Hyperlinks
Advertisements may include hyperlinks directing users to external websites or online services.
Advertisers are responsible for ensuring that linked destinations:
- accurately represent the advertised business;
- function properly;
- are reasonably secure;
- do not distribute malware;
- do not contain deceptive redirects;
- comply with applicable laws.
Prop Up Media LLC may review hyperlinks before or after publication.
Hyperlinks may be disabled or advertisements removed if the destination changes in a manner that violates Platform policies.
7. Campaign Approval
All advertising campaigns are subject to review before publication.
Approval is intended to help ensure that advertisements:
- comply with Platform policies;
- are appropriate for the No Yard Sale community;
- accurately represent the advertiser;
- avoid misleading or harmful content;
- support a positive marketplace experience.
Submission of an advertisement does not guarantee publication.
Advertisements may be:
- approved;
- returned for revision;
- rejected;
- suspended after publication if circumstances change.
Advertisers may be asked to provide additional information during the review process.
8. Campaign Scheduling
The Platform may allow advertisers to schedule campaign start dates, end dates, durations, or other timing preferences.
Campaign scheduling remains subject to:
- advertisement approval;
- payment confirmation;
- Platform availability;
- campaign inventory;
- future scheduling tools introduced by No Yard Sale.
Campaign timing preferences do not guarantee uninterrupted publication.
9. Advertisement Rotation
No Yard Sale uses advertisement rotation to create a fair and balanced advertising experience.
Where multiple approved campaigns are active, advertisements may rotate automatically throughout the Platform.
Rotation may consider factors such as:
- campaign availability;
- campaign scheduling;
- placement inventory;
- user activity;
- geographic relevance;
- future advertising algorithms;
- other operational considerations.
Rotation is intended to provide opportunities for multiple advertisers rather than permanently reserving advertising space for a single campaign.
Purchasing advertising does not guarantee:
- a specific placement;
- exclusive placement;
- a minimum number of impressions;
- a minimum number of clicks;
- sales;
- leads;
- conversions.
Campaign performance naturally varies over time.
10. Billing and Payments
Advertising campaigns may require payment before publication.
Campaign pricing, billing methods, and available payment options will be displayed within the Platform or Business Dashboard.
Advertisers are responsible for ensuring that:
- payment information is accurate;
- payment methods remain valid;
- sufficient funds are available;
- billing information remains current.
Failure to complete payment may result in:
- delayed campaign activation;
- campaign suspension;
- campaign cancellation;
- restriction of Business Account advertising features.
Advertising payments are governed by the Payment & Wallet Policy where applicable.
10.1 Campaign Duration
Campaigns may run for the duration selected or approved through the Platform.
Campaigns may end because of:
- expiration of the selected campaign period;
- budget exhaustion, where supported;
- advertiser cancellation;
- policy violations;
- administrative suspension;
- technical issues requiring temporary interruption.
Campaigns are not guaranteed to receive continuous or uninterrupted publication throughout their duration.
10.2 Renewals
Where supported, advertisers may be able to:
- renew campaigns;
- duplicate campaigns;
- extend campaign duration;
- schedule future campaigns;
- pause campaigns;
- resume campaigns.
Future renewal options may vary as advertising features evolve.
11. Campaign Analytics
Business Accounts may have access to advertising analytics designed to help evaluate campaign performance.
Depending on available features, analytics may include:
- advertisement impressions;
- clicks;
- click-through rate;
- campaign duration;
- active campaign status;
- campaign history;
- advertisement approval status;
- general geographic performance;
- future engagement metrics introduced by the Platform.
Analytics are intended to improve campaign effectiveness.
They are not a guarantee of future advertising performance.
User Privacy
Campaign analytics are generally presented in aggregated form.
Advertisers do not receive:
- private user identities;
- private messages;
- email addresses;
- telephone numbers;
- Wallet information;
- precise locations;
- Norman's Trust Scores;
- other private account information.
User privacy remains protected under the Privacy Policy.
12. Prohibited Advertising
Advertisements may not promote, advertise, facilitate, or encourage:
- prohibited items;
- prohibited services;
- illegal activity;
- counterfeit products;
- scams;
- deceptive pricing;
- misleading claims;
- false testimonials;
- fake businesses;
- fraudulent investment opportunities;
- pyramid schemes;
- unlawful financial services;
- adult content;
- hate speech;
- discrimination;
- malware;
- phishing;
- impersonation;
- malicious websites;
- deceptive redirects;
- spam.
Advertisements must also comply with the Prohibited Items & Services Policy, Community Guidelines, Terms & Conditions, and applicable law.
Misleading Advertising
Advertisers must not:
- exaggerate claims;
- intentionally omit material information;
- falsely claim endorsements;
- imply approval by No Yard Sale where none exists;
- misrepresent pricing;
- advertise unavailable products or services.
Advertisements should accurately reflect what users can reasonably expect after clicking.
Norman's Tip
The best advertisements don't promise everything.
They simply keep the promises they make.
13. Intellectual Property
Advertisers retain ownership of their original advertising materials.
By submitting advertisements to No Yard Sale, advertisers grant Prop Up Media LLC a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to:
- display advertisements;
- reproduce advertisements;
- resize advertisements;
- optimize advertisements for different devices;
- store advertisements;
- distribute advertisements through the Platform;
- archive advertisements for administrative purposes.
This license exists solely for purposes reasonably necessary to operate the Business Advertising Program.
Advertisers represent that they own or possess all necessary rights to the materials they submit.
14. Norman's Trust Score for Businesses
Business Accounts may participate in Norman's Trust framework where supported by the Platform.
Business Trust is intended to recognize consistent, positive participation within the advertising ecosystem.
Examples of positive business activity may include:
- accurate advertisements;
- successful campaign history;
- verified business information;
- policy compliance;
- positive marketplace participation;
- prompt response to administrative requests;
- long-term participation.
Examples of activity that may negatively affect business participation include:
- repeated policy violations;
- misleading advertisements;
- prohibited advertising;
- fraudulent activity;
- repeated campaign rejections for serious violations;
- abuse of Platform features.
Business participation in Norman's Trust framework is intended to improve marketplace quality.
It is not an endorsement, certification, or guarantee by Prop Up Media LLC.
Businesses may earn advertising-related badges or recognition features introduced in future Platform updates.
15. Campaign Suspension or Removal
Prop Up Media LLC may suspend, remove, reject, pause, or limit advertisements or campaigns when reasonably necessary to:
- enforce Platform policies;
- protect users;
- investigate fraud;
- respond to legal requirements;
- investigate intellectual property complaints;
- investigate user reports;
- maintain marketplace quality;
- protect Platform security.
Campaigns may also be suspended when linked websites become unavailable or materially change after approval.
Whenever practical, advertisers may be provided an opportunity to correct policy violations before permanent removal.
Immediate removal may occur when necessary to protect users or comply with applicable law.
16. Appeals
Advertisers who believe an advertisement or campaign was incorrectly rejected, suspended, or removed may request administrative review.
Prop Up Media LLC may request additional information, including:
- business documentation;
- licenses;
- marketing materials;
- ownership documentation;
- website updates;
- other supporting information.
Submission of an appeal does not guarantee that the original decision will be changed.
Each appeal is reviewed using the information reasonably available at the time.
17. Future Advertising Features
The No Yard Sale Business Advertising Program is expected to evolve as the Platform grows.
Prop Up Media LLC may introduce additional advertising features, including:
- multiple advertisement formats;
- carousel advertisements;
- video advertisements;
- interactive advertisements;
- promoted business profiles;
- localized advertising;
- seasonal campaigns;
- event promotions;
- enhanced campaign scheduling;
- expanded campaign analytics;
- audience segmentation;
- additional reporting tools;
- artificial intelligence-assisted campaign recommendations;
- future advertising products and services.
The introduction of new advertising features does not guarantee availability to every Business Account.
Additional feature-specific terms may apply where appropriate.
18. Relationship to Other Policies
This Business Advertising Policy should be read together with the:
- Terms & Conditions;
- Privacy Policy;
- Payment & Wallet Policy;
- Community Guidelines;
- Prohibited Items & Services Policy;
- Cookie Policy;
- and other Platform policies.
Where this Policy addresses Business Accounts, advertisements, or advertising campaigns, it supplements those documents.
If a conflict exists regarding legal interpretation, the Terms & Conditions shall govern unless this Policy expressly states otherwise.

- Platform features;

Norman's Advertising Standards
Advertising works best when it helps people solve real problems.
Whether you're helping someone move, find storage, clean out a garage, repair a home, or discover another useful service, every advertisement should begin with honesty and end with a positive customer experience.
Create advertisements that are:
- truthful;
- helpful;
- respectful;
- professional;
- easy to understand.
Don't promise what you can't deliver.
Don't exaggerate.
Don't try to trick people into clicking.
The businesses that earn trust are the businesses people remember—and the ones they're most likely to recommend to others.
Norman's Final Thoughts
At No Yard Sale, advertising isn't just about promoting a business.
It's about becoming part of a community.
Every advertisement is an opportunity to introduce yourself to a neighbor who may need exactly what you offer.
Treat every campaign as the beginning of a long-term relationship rather than a single click.
If you focus on honesty, quality, and great service, your reputation will grow right alongside your business.
Thank you for helping make No Yard Sale a marketplace where local businesses and local communities succeed together.
No signs. No tables. No yard sale.
21. Advertising Separation from Safety and AI Decisions
Buying advertising does not purchase Verified Safe Exchange Zone status, influence appointment or arrival verification, change a trust or safety decision, or override a marketplace record. Advertising inventory and marketplace safety systems are operationally separate. If Ask Norman or another automated surface presents paid placement, the placement must be identified as sponsored or advertising. Advertisers may not imply that payment creates a safety endorsement, official partnership, or guaranteed marketplace outcome.
